About BESTSELLER TECH

BESTSELLER TECH – that is 300 Developers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysts, IT Supporters, and many more with the ambition to digitize BESTSELLER’s value chain with simple and innovative solutions. We are driven by enabling our colleagues around the world to excel in what they do best: design, buy, and sell fashion. We work cross-functionally and are proud of our collaborative, international, and informal culture.

We are on our way to becoming agile in our approach and are organized in a circle structure, spanning across Products, Customers, Operations, Retail, Business Intelligence, Workforce, Technical Engineering Services, and Frontline Support Services. We are a flat organization and our teams are empowered with end-to-end ownership for our solutions. We have implemented rapid decision-making processes and we move fast from idea to execution. This way of working together has proven to be value-adding, fun, and rewarding for us and our company.

About Our Tech Stack

Our application landscape is diverse. We have a policy of selecting the best solution for the problem at hand. Therefore, we have a mix of standard systems (ie. SAP and Navision), adapted standard systems (ie. MPOS), and fully home-grown solutions (ie. our main ERP based on an Oracle stack with PL/SQL and Java). We have a best-of-breed philosophy when it comes to selecting new software. We usually choose to develop our own applications, if we believe we can add to our competitive advantage. When we are building our own systems, we often use components such as RabbitMQ, React, microservices, Kubernetes, Azure, and Google Cloud. We are open to all new technologies that can make a positive contribution to the value we create for BESTSELLER.

We are constantly looking to improve our value contribution to BESTSELLER. Therefore, each team is constantly evaluating its tech stack and experimenting with other possible approaches that can create even more value for BESTSELLER. Through this, we have the possibility to replace and rebuild significant parts of the system landscape at any given time.

About You

You are a backend developer? Or a frontend developer? A system engineer? Your title isn’t important. Your mindset is. As a person, you have a strong desire to learn and you are open to analyzing and understanding existing systems and interdependencies. Being part of a small, agile team, it comes naturally to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy collaborating in building creative solutions to complex problems. With your sense for detail, you deliver quality solutions and take ownership and feel accountable for the team’s results and business impact.

We are looking for new colleagues with a broad set of development and technical skills. You have experience in taking responsibility for the full stack lifecycle of your team’s products – from coding to understanding user requirements and anything in between (such as quality assurance, deployment or release management, application maintenance, and user support). You enjoy working in a system landscape with many moving parts and with a focus on continuous value delivery.
